El Paraíso Perdido is a single by the Venezuelan indie-rock band La Vida Bohéme, known for its energetic sound and sharp social commentary.
The song reflects on a city's decline into chaos, and the music video builds on that idea by using a miniature, handcrafted town as the main setting. The band created a world filled with references to political tension, commercial noise, and urban decay.
They wanted a music video that converged craft and protest in the hands of born-and-raised Venezuelan artists.
I contributed by designing political propaganda in which megaphones are loudmouths and votes are paid for with dollar bills. I also created the video’s main titles, fancy lettering eroded by the elements and corruption.
The result is an incredible music video full of depth and craftsmanship. I’m really proud of this work.
